This list was prepared by Dr. Jinadatha


NOTE :- The currency of Portuguese India underwent a reform in 1959 to a new decimal system of
               100 centavos = 1 Escudo. Six Escudoes were equivalent to one Indian Rupee. To facilitate
               easy conversion the denominational structure of new notes of Portuguese India was based
               as 30, 60, 100, 300, 600, and 1000 Escudoes.
