Indian Coins and Bank Notes website is a resource developed for the benefit of the Numismatic Community interested in Indian Coins and Currency notes collection. Our website is dedicated to all Indian Coins and Paper Money enthusiasts around the world. Our aim is to have an extensive database which consists of Indian coins and currency notes lists with color pictures. Most of the pictures are either from our own collection with some valuable contributions from friends and fellow collectors. We plan to keep expanding until we have covered all possible coins & notes from every era. It is a daunting task but with the help of all our visitors, contributors and well wishers we will succeed.

            For the convinience of browsing our website have been divided into era's which are distinct. You will find inks to all the websites if you click on the sister website links. Once you are in each section you will find links for coins and currency issue lists with pictures when available. If you see photo required caption and wish to contribute please do not hesitate to contact us. We believe currently there are no such extensive resources that are available. Additionally, all the resources are free. Our discussion forum will help enthusiasts exchange information and ideas. We also offer free classifieds ads for collectors and sellers for free.             The brain child behind this website is my dad Dr Jinadatha. He is a retired physician who taught in Physiology at JJM Medical College, Davangere, India for 35 + years. He also has been collecting and exhibiting Indian Coins and Paper Money for the last 30 years. His special interest has been British India Coins and Currency Notes as well after Independence Coins and Notes. After we lost my mother to breast cancer, my dad wanted to dedicate his life to encourage and help upcoming young collectors especially school children. He always believed when they start early, they develop various skills that help with their overall development. But there was one problem. There was no free resource for these kids. Books and catalogues are expensive and to take advantage of changing nature of information technology, we launched our first website on British India Coins. Since the response was so overwhelming encouraging after our first website, we have continued to expand. We have tremendous support from many visitors and all the encouragment from them are very motivating. We have taken it upon ourselves to make this one stop resource for all Indian Coins and Paper Money from every era. We definetely cannot complete this task by ourselves especially pictures/photos.
