I am a 62 year young Senior Manager retired from a nationalised bank
after serving the organisation for 32 years at various levels in all south Indian States. I am a post graduate ( MCom ) in Financial Management from University of Kerala.
It so happened, I am made to hold a small stock of old 5ps, 10ps, 20ps and 25ps coins
which are no more in circulation. Recently while browsing in the net on my leisure time, I happened to note that these coins are of some value. So I decided to start learning NUMISMATICS. So I am here.
But, to my surprise, I observe that most of the prices quoted are not realistic.
Why so? Where I can have some idea about the reasonable market prices?

Dear Sir,
Your impression about the listed price by some sellers is unrealistic and there is no way I as moderator I can force people to change their sale price. The only place to find realistic prices are auction catalogs.
